Neville's Words

Timeless lines from the great mystic. Return here whenever you need to remember who you are.

"Capture the feeling associated with your realized desire by assuming the feeling that would be yours were you already in possession of the thing you desire."
Neville Goddard
"The whole vast world is no more than man's imagining pushed out."
Neville Goddard
"Assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled and observe the route that your attention follows."
Neville Goddard, The Power of Awareness
"Change your conception of yourself and you will automatically change the world in which you live."
Neville Goddard, Your Faith Is Your Fortune
"Imagination is the very gateway of reality."
Neville Goddard
"Dare to believe in the reality of your assumption and watch the world play its part relative to its fulfillment."
Neville Goddard, The Power of Awareness
"An assumption, though false, if persisted in, will harden into fact."
Neville Goddard, The Power of Awareness
"Sleep is the door through which the conscious, waking mind passes to be creatively joined to the subconscious."
Neville Goddard, Feeling Is the Secret
"Feeling is the secret. The subconscious accepts as true that which you feel as true."
Neville Goddard, Feeling Is the Secret
"Do not waste one moment in regret, for to think feelingly of the mistakes of the past is to re-infect yourself."
Neville Goddard
"The world is a mirror, forever reflecting what you are doing, within yourself."
Neville Goddard
"Stop trying to change the world since it is only the mirror. Man's attempt to change the world by force is as fruitless as breaking a mirror in the hope of changing his face."
Neville Goddard
"You are already that which you want to be, and your refusal to believe this is the only reason you do not see it."
Neville Goddard
"All that you behold, though it appears without, it is within, in your imagination, of which this world of mortality is but a shadow."
Neville Goddard, quoting William Blake
"It is not what you want that you attract; you attract what you believe to be true."
Neville Goddard
"Ignore the present state and assume the wish fulfilled. Claim it; it will respond."
Neville Goddard

From the Founder's Journal

Reflections written by the founder during his own years of practice. You will also find them inside the lessons, exactly where each one belongs.

"Neville said it is all about feeling. I say it is all about building the habit of it."
Think of day one of learning to drive. Everything feels forced and confusing: your attention is stretched across the gear, the clutch, the brake, the accelerator, the mirrors. Now think of day 365. You are laughing, talking with your family in the back seat, and your hands and feet are driving the car on their own. Nothing about driving changed; a built habit simply moved the task out of your conscious mind. Practicing the Law is exactly the same. Day one feels confusing, overwhelming, maybe even like a scam. Do it anyway. Repetition builds new pathways, and the common rule of thumb says anything done consistently for about 21 days starts becoming habit. The conscious mind can hold only a trickle of what the subconscious processes every second, so the whole goal is simple: push the practice from the conscious mind down into the subconscious. The strain of feeling “my desire is already mine” that is so heavy on day one will feel like nothing by day 30 or 60. And that is when manifestations start coming to you dangerously fast.
"Master manifestors do affect the bridge of incidents. Not by magic, and not by force. Their resistance has been zero for so long that the bridge is half-built before they ever consciously begin."
I once sat with a question: how fast do master manifestors manifest? Neville said everything has its own appointed hour; a baby takes nine months. So can a master shorten the bridge? The answer that rose up in me was yes, but not the way people imagine. Think of your mother, who knows you completely. She knows that the moment you return from school you will ask for pizza and a cold drink, so it is already prepared before you ask. Did you force her? Not really, and yet in a sense yes, because she knew your patterns so well that your arrival was enough. Or think of an assistant that is connected to all your apps and drafts replies exactly the way you would, because it has watched your behavior long enough to predict your next move. A master lives that close to the deeper mind. Their state has been steady for so long that arrangements begin before the conscious assumption is ever made, because they were already assuming it beneath the surface. So when they consciously step into the wish fulfilled, even a massive desire can arrive within moments. It looks dangerously fast from the outside. In truth it was a slow, sharp collection of puzzle pieces, quietly connecting in the correct order the whole time.
"Stop trying to build a car in the 3D. Create the glitch in the 4D, and let the 3D scramble to fix it."
Whatever is missing will be fixed by the universe. If, in your fully felt assumption, you have a Lamborghini parked in your backyard, you simply live your day: you work on your PC, you take a call from a friend, you have your meal. Through all of it there is no excitement and no desire, only the calm feeling that it is parked out there. Now, when the universe looks at you, it is confused. According to your state, the car should be there, yet it is not. So what is missing in the eyes of the universe? The car. And what must it supply? The car.
"Being a master means having zero resistance toward whatever desire you are going to manifest. And believe me, if it is something for which the dominoes and infrastructure are already rightly placed, you will get it dangerously fast."
"Your desire has only two ways to come. Either the dominoes are already in position, one push away from falling, or they must first be created or moved into place, and then pushed. That is it."
For example, suppose you have a disease with no cure or antidote anywhere in the world right now. Thousands have died from it. But this time the disease messed with the wrong person. You assume yourself walking out of that hospital on your own feet. Here, the dominoes have to be invented, because no cure exists yet. So the universe first creates the dominoes, places them correctly, and pushes the first one: a group of scientists successfully develops an antidote for the very disease you have. It gets imported, it is given to you, done. Your manifestation is accomplished.
"Whatever you manifest definitely comes to you, even if it seems impossible."
If it is impossible but does not violate the other laws of this planet, like physics or gravity, it will surely come; you only need to reach the level of the state where you already have it. And if it does violate those laws? It still comes, in your dream, where no such law exists at all. I once tested this myself. I practiced an assumption of something that could not happen in waking life, simply wondering what would happen, and it played out fully in my dream. That day I received my own confirmation of this claim: manifestation is inevitable. The bottom line: everything other people already have in this world can be achieved by you in 3D reality, because their having it proves it is achievable. And if something cannot exist here, it will shift into the dream reality, but it will be fulfilled.
"If you stand in front of a mirror crying, it cries too. If you smile, it must smile back. It is impossible for you to smile and for the mirror to keep showing you crying. This is the formula for bending reality."
Show that you are smiling, and it must smile back. If, for a moment, the mirror still shows you crying while you are truly smiling, nothing is wrong; the mirror is only showing the echoes of the past, and it will rush to catch up. It has no other choice. Reality is like an old low-resolution camera with a delay: you wave now, and it waves back a moment later, but it always waves back. When you assume and hold the state of having, the 3D world starts moving. It just takes some time. As Neville said, everything has an appointed hour.
"Most people cancel their order while it was already in motion, about to be delivered within minutes."
The reason is simple: inwardly they are still operating at the beginner level. Outwardly they placed the order; they assumed the wish fulfilled. But inside they remained beginners, watching the world around them, doubting deeply, and repeating that it is not happening, that it is not arriving. In other words, they cancel their own order, an order which was somehow placed correctly and accurately, which rarely happens, only because the inner self never matured with the outer act. The two were different, and so they never understood the depth of what they had already set in motion.
