Mastery & Daily Practice | Lesson 2 of 9
Manifesting for Others
Using the law on behalf of the people you love, the way Neville constantly did.
Some of the most moving stories in Neville’s lectures are not about his own desires but about hearing good news for others: a friend’s job, a stranger’s health, a family member’s reconciliation. He treated this as a natural and generous use of the law. Many such accounts, told by the students themselves, are collected in The Law and the Promise, freely readable at the Internet Archive.
"Hear the good news for another and you have blessed both him and yourself."
What this means: Two blessings in one act. The obvious one: your imaginal act on their behalf works for them, because in consciousness there is no hard wall between you. The quiet one: to imagine good news for another, you must occupy a state of abundance and goodwill yourself, and you cannot occupy a state without it externalizing in your own world too.
The method
- Construct a short scene of the person telling you their good news.
- Hear their voice specifically: the words, the excitement, the relief.
- React in imagination as you naturally would: the hug, the congratulations, the shared joy.
- Release it and treat their success as settled.
A scene for a friend
Friend’s situation: months of job searching, confidence wearing thin.
Scene: "Her name lights up my phone. I answer, and before I can say hello she says: I got it. I got the offer. I hear myself laughing: I never doubted it for a second."
Ten seconds, looped in the drowsy state, then released.
Practice: One Act of Imaginal Generosity
Choose one person and hear their good news tonight.
Only you can read this. Nothing you write is published, shared, or shown to anyone else. Write honestly.
